Our February is going to be fabulous! We have seventeen ambassadors coming from Flathead Valley, Montana on February 5th. Because we will be busy with the Montana visit there will be no board meeting and no general meeting in February.
Bob Stafford is making his debut as a Journey Director. Bob tells me that his committee has worked very hard and that Brenda Pearson has done a yeoman’s job in procuring home hosts. Home hosts are so appreciated; as everybody is aware, without home hosts the Friendship Force would fail! A big hooray for the Flathead Valley ambassadors’ home hosts who are Bonnie Andrews, Carol Babbitt, Lauren Beaudry, Barbara Copeland, Gin Myers, Sue Pasterkiewicz, Brenda Pearson, Jackie Portman, Pat Rudner, Nancy Walsh and me, Sandra Williams.
In March Jeremi Snook, President and CEO of FFI, is coming to our corner of the USA. Jeremi is planning to attend our board meeting on March 5th at one o’clock at Sandra Williams’ home. That evening Jeremi will be at the home of Nancy and Roger Walsh from five o’clock to eight o’clock for a hors d’ oeuvres pot luck fund raiser. The cost to attend this will be your pot luck contribution plus five dollars each.
Citizens of a Global Community is the theme for our Western Regional Super Conference which is to be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Elk Grove, California May 3 to May 5, 2018 and is hosted by the Friendship Force of Sacramento. Participating clubs are Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, British Columbia and Alberta. All Friendship members are invited to attend. Our board members, officers and new members are urged to attend. A Pre-conference is at Reno/Tahoe. Post-conference mini home stays are in Las Vegas, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego (and Orange County!) or Sacramento. Colette DeLong is planning the hosting for the mini home stays.
